Our dogs are only made available for adoption once we’re confident they’re ready for family life. They are well socialised and accustomed to living in a home, and are house trained, lead trained, car trained with seat belts, and have reliable off-lead recall and basic commands. They are comfortable visiting cafés and public places, meeting strangers, running errands, and accompanying us in everyday life.

We take this extra care to make the transition to a new family as smooth as possible. Feedback from previous adopters tells us that, once travel fatigue has passed, our dogs settle quickly and are truly “good to go.”
Interested in learning more about one of our dogs or ready to apply to adopt? We’d love to hear from you – get in touch by email or complete an application form.
Meet our dogs who are currently searching for their forever homes:
Arabella is a beautiful 18-month-old shepherd mix with a loving heart and a playful, energetic nature.
Arabella is clever and eager to learn, and has completed obedience training. Arabella would thrive with an active, loving family ready to share adventures and affection.
✔ Fully vaccinated, blood screened & spayed.
Benbo arrived at MoonAcre in March 2023 after being surrendered in very poor condition. He was heartbreakingly only 3 years old.
Benbo is blind — one eye has been removed and the other has limited vision but it doesn’t slow him down. What he lacks in sight, he makes up for in spirit. He’s confident, playful, and full of character, loving tug games, cheeky slipper steals, and snuggling under blankets.
Buster is a handsome, happy-go-lucky Lab cross. Once found as a stray, he has blossomed into an affectionate, loyal companion.
A recent obedience graduate, Buster has excellent recall and knows his cues. Confident, well-socialised, and adventurous. Buster would make the perfect sidekick for someone seeking a fun, loyal best friend.
✔ Fully vaccinated, blood screened & neutered.
Ghost is a gentle, affectionate English Pointer with a striking lemon-and-white coat.
Found collapsed and severely dehydrated in the summer of 2023 at around one year old, Ghost has made an incredible recovery and is now healthy and happy. He has a lovely balance of playful energy and calm affection, enjoying long walks and cooling off in a paddling pool.
✔ Fully vaccinated, blood screened & neutered.
Liam is our one-of-a-kind three-legged wonder. He arrived at the sanctuary in 2023 as a tiny puppy with a leg malformation and has grown up surrounded by care and love.
Now a very happy tri-paw pup, Liam enjoys sunny snoozes, gentle strolls, and affectionate cuddles. He’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a calm, loving home.
✔ Fully vaccinated, blood screened & neutered.
Beautiful and brave Luna came into our care in 2023 after surviving a gunshot wound to the head. She lost one eye but made a full recovery and hasn’t let it slow her down for a moment.
She loves cuddles and being close to her humans. Luna gets along wonderfully with children and other dogs, making her an ideal companion for a loving family who enjoy plenty of snuggles.
✔ Fully vaccinated, blood screened & spayed.
Paris was found alone in a nearby village in summer 2025, aged around one year old. He is a gentle, sensitive boy who may be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his affectionate nature truly shines. Paris adores other dogs and would thrive in a calm, nurturing home with a canine companion and patient humans who can help him continue to grow in confidence.
✔ Fully vaccinated, blood screened & neutered.
