Delgado is a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd who has been waiting far too long for his forever family.
This fine-looking boy was found abandoned at a petrol station, and despite our efforts to trace his owner, nobody ever came forward for him. When he arrived at the sanctuary, Delgado had a significant limp and bruising to his head and hips. Thankfully, with plenty of love, veterinary care, and time to recover, he has made an incredible transformation. Today, he’s healthy, strong, and more than ready to begin the next chapter of his life.

Delgado has the most wonderful nature. He’s incredibly affectionate, friendly, and absolutely adores people. While he may look like a big, confident German Shepherd, he’s actually a bit of a softie – a real wuss at heart! All he really wants is someone to cuddle, love, and follow around all day long.
If you’re looking for the kind of loyal German Shepherd who will be your constant companion, Delgado is your boy. He’ll happily shadow you everywhere you go… yes, even to the bathroom! His devotion to his people is truly heartwarming.
Delgado is sociable with both small and large dogs and enjoys meeting new people. He’s fantastic with children, making friends wherever he goes, and he absolutely loves hopping in the car for adventures.
He’s also a very playful boy who adores his toys. Soft toys and tug toys are his favourites, and he’ll proudly carry them over to you, hoping you’ll join in the fun.
Like many young dogs, Delgado has a cheeky side too! He has a particular talent for digging – especially flower beds. Real plants? Fake plants? Delgado isn’t fussy… if it looks like a flower, it’s fair game! A little supervision in the garden (and a good sense of humour) will certainly help.
Delgado would love a home where he can be included as part of the family and enjoy plenty of companionship. He is not suitable for homes with cats or horses.
